The Crane Resort is mandated by the island’s Ministry of Health to uphold all Barbados Travel Protocols required for border entry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Guests without validated proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours of travel, and who are either:
1. Awaiting test results taken at Grantley Adams International Airport OR
2. Awaiting results of a test conducted by a Medical Doctor at The Crane, a satellite testing centre designated by the Ministry of Health
must follow the below rules, which are non-negotiable:
While awaiting test results, guests are to remain in their suite pending the results, typically communicated between 7:00AM – 9:00AM the morning after arrival.
Upon notification of a negative result by the Medical Doctor, guests are free to commence their holiday in Barbados while observing all health and safety protocols, including physical distancing and the wearing of face coverings.
Travellers from countries designated as high-risk are subject to a 14-day quarantine and daily monitoring by public health authorities. During quarantine, guests are able to move around the property observing all health and safety protocols. Guests have the option to take a second COVID-19 PCR test between 5 - 7 days after the last accepted negative test result and are typically released from quarantine upon the receipt of a second negative test result.
These are mandatory requirements. The resort is obligated to immediately report any guest who does not follow them to the relevant authorities.
